Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is ISORETRACT?

ISORETRACT is a reusable dental retraction and fluid management system designed to provide cheek, lip and tongue control, full-arch visibility, and continuous fluid management during dental and orthodontic procedures.

What procedures can ISORETRACT be used for?

ISORETRACT is designed primarily for orthodontic procedures where visibility, access, soft-tissue control, and moisture management are critical, including direct and indirect bonding, aligner attachment placement, rebonding, and molar bracket placement. These same benefits can also support bleaching and select cosmetic dentistry procedures, including veneer preparation, bonding, cementation, composite bonding, and other treatments that benefit from a clear, controlled working field.

How does ISORETRACT help maintain a dry working field?

ISORETRACT combines soft-tissue retraction with integrated evacuation and fluid management. Multiple evacuation points help manage saliva and fluids throughout the procedure while maintaining access to the treatment area.

How is ISORETRACT different from traditional dental retractors and dry-field systems?

ISORETRACT integrates full-arch cheek and lip retraction, tongue control and fluid management into one system. Its design is intended to provide clinicians with visibility and access from the anterior teeth to the molar region while maintaining control of the working field.

Can ISORETRACT help during veneer procedures?

ISORETRACT can help retract soft tissue, improve visibility, and support fluid management during veneer preparation, bonding, and cementation. This can help clinicians maintain a more controlled working field throughout the procedure.

Is ISORETRACT reusable and autoclavable?

  1. Yes. ISORETRACT and its components, including the silicone tubing and Y-adaptor, are validated for steam sterilization only. Always follow the current ISORETRACT Instructions for Use (IFU) for validated sterilization parameters.
